Why FFXII is better than FFXV

When I was younger I was massively into Final Fantasy games. I was seven years old and my parents didn’t really let me go out to play because we lived in London and there were bad people everywhere, so Final Fantasy was a good escape.

But it has been 10 years since FFXV was first announced and, after falling out of love with Final Fantasy after playing FFXIII (which, let’s face it, was shockingly bad) I never really thought I’d play again.

But I recently played the demo for FFXV at my boyfriend’s house and I fucking LOVED it. So I got FFXV the day it came out, and I loved that too. But then, I started to notice that it wasn’t getting better as the game went on.

It was getting worse.

Bethesda released a live action trailer for Fallout 4 this week and it made me realise how much I love live action trailers. Live action trailers give an added sense of realism to trailers for games, allowing us to really picture ourselves in that situation, especially as games consoles still have a long way to go to reach that peak of hyper-realistic graphics.

Why I’m excited for Fallout 4

It’s less than a month until Fallout 4 gets released and I’m excited. There hasn’t been a new Fallout game since New Vegas came out 5 years ago (I feel old now) and I’m jonesing for a Bethesda fix. I tried to patch it up by playing Elder Scrolls Online, but it just isn’t the same. And it seemed like Bethesda knew I needed that fix.

But what exactly is it about Fallout 4 that has me so excited? I’m glad you asked.
